Forest National is the largest indoor venue in Belgium, with 8,000 seats and a yearly programme that ranges from rock to comedy. It is also famously hard to park near. The venue's own parking holds a few hundred vehicles, and surrounding streets fill up an hour before doors. Here's how to plan.
Where Forest National actually is
The venue sits on Avenue du Globe, on the south-western edge of the city, postal 1190 (Forest). The closest tram stop is Coovi (tram 82), with Globe (tram 4) another reliable option. By car, exit the Ring at Drogenbos or come up from Avenue Albert.
The three parking strategies
1. Venue lot (not recommended for concerts)
The lot is small and managed by the venue. Doors open 2 hours before showtime; the lot fills within the first 45 minutes. If you find a spot, you pay venue-day pricing — typically €15–25 flat fee.
2. Public parking around Saint-Gilles or Albert
Public garages near Saint-Gilles (Indigo Albert, Q-Park Bascule) take 15–25 minutes on foot. Prices range €4–6 per hour. Reliable, but you walk through residential streets that get crowded after the show.
3. Private spot via Spotzy — booked ahead
This is what we recommend. A private garage or driveway within 1 km of the venue, booked the morning of the event. You know the exact address, you know the cost up front (typically €8–15 for the evening), and you don't fight for a spot.
What to avoid
- Avenue Van Volxem on event nights. Heavy enforcement; cars are towed for blocking tram lanes.
- The streets directly south of the venue (Rue de Mérode area). Residents fill them by 17:30.
- Tram-zone blue-stripe parking. Even on event evenings, the blue zone applies.
After the show
The fastest way out of Forest National is north on Chaussée de Neerstalle, toward the inner ring road. Avoid Avenue du Globe immediately after curtain — that's where the bus and tram crowds funnel.
If you've booked a Spotzy spot, you have a clear walk back and a guaranteed exit. That alone is worth the €10.
